School House System & Mentoring System at DPS Duliajan

At DPS Duliajan, we emphasize team spirit, leadership, and personal growth through our well-structured House System and Mentoring Program. These initiatives encourage students to develop discipline, resilience, and camaraderie while fostering a sense of identity and belonging.

House System: Fostering Leadership & Healthy Competition

Our House System is designed to promote healthy competition, teamwork, and leadership skills among students. Every student is assigned to one of the four houses, each named after a mighty river, symbolizing strength, unity, and flow of knowledge.

The Four Houses at DPS Duliajan

Ganges (Red) – Represents energy, passion, and determination. Ganges House instills a spirit of resilience and the drive to achieve excellence.
Yamuna (Blue) – Embodies calmness, wisdom, and loyalty. The students of Yamuna House are known for their dedication, patience, and commitment to success.
Jhelum (Yellow) – Symbolizes positivity, creativity, and enthusiasm. Jhelum House encourages students to think innovatively and lead with confidence.
Brahmaputra (Green) – Stands for growth, harmony, and strength. Brahmaputra House nurtures teamwork and perseverance, fostering unity among its members.

Activities & Competitions

Each house competes in various sports, cultural, literary, and academic events throughout the year, including:

  •  Inter-house debates, quizzes, and essay competitions
  •  Sports tournaments (football, basketball, athletics, etc.)
  •  Cultural programs, drama, and music competitions
  •  Social service and environmental initiatives

Every achievement earns House Points, and at the end of the year, the house with the highest points is awarded the House Championship Trophy.

Mentoring System: Personalized Guidance & Student Support

At DPS Duliajan, we believe that every student deserves individual attention and support. Our Mentoring System ensures that students receive academic, emotional, and personal guidance throughout their school journey.

How the Mentoring System Works

  • Dedicated Mentors – Each student is assigned a faculty mentor who provides guidance on academics, personal development, and extracurricular activities.
  • One-on-One Mentoring – Regular mentor-mentee meetings help students set goals, track progress, and discuss challenges.
  • Emotional & Social Support – Mentors act as trusted guides, ensuring students feel heard, valued, and supported.
  • Career & Life Skills Development – Senior students receive mentorship for career counseling, competitive exams, and future planning.
  • Parental Involvement – Mentors work closely with parents to ensure a collaborative approach to student growth and well-being.
